About Karen

I’ve spent a good portion of my adult life accumulating capital letters – a B.S. in Biology, an M.A. in Anthropology, and a Ph.D. in Cell Biology. I’ve mostly used those capital letters working as a college professor teaching, among other classes, several semesters of Anatomy and Physiology.
But another passion of mine is reading – in particular, murder mysteries. In an attempt to craft the kind of mystery I most enjoy reading, I’ve written two mysteries combining my love of history, academia and biology. Lest you worry, to the best of my knowledge all of my former students are alive and well.
I am also a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime and Romance Writers of America.
